Should I signal an SOS on the UnityPhilly app or administer Narcan first?

If you’ve gone through the 4 STIM (Speak, Touch, Intense touch, Monitor breathing) steps to confirm an overdose is happening, you should first administer Narcan to the person (be sure to make note of the time or start a stopwatch on your phone in case they need an additional dose) and then signal an SOS on the UnityPhilly app. During an overdose, every second counts in preventing permanent brain damage and death, which is why it's important to give the person Narcan ASAP. After signaling an SOS, begin rescue breaths and be on the lookout for messages/notifications from the app.
